WHY A DRESS CODE AT DANCE DYNAMICS?

Dancers can better prepare for class by putting on a uniform, which also makes it clear that they are attending a structured session. Respecting the art via conduct and dress code fosters the discipline required to learn a traditional art which is advantageous. When everyone wears the same uniform, it promotes equality among dancers and a non-competitive setting. Dance teachers need to be able to examine the body lines of the dancers to make sure that they are performing the skills safely and correctly.

  • All students at Dance Dynamics must wear the regulation leotard approved for their dance level.

  • Ballet students are required to wear pink ballet tights and pink ballet slippers.

  • Students in tap, jazz and lyrical may opt to attend class with black tights or leggings. Students who are studying jazz and tap must wear black jazz shoes or black tap shoes. The student who studies lyrical must wear beige lyrical slippers.

  • Sweatpants and sweatshirts are not permitted in class.

  • For all lessons, hair must be neatly pulled back.
